Management Board:

Michael Jung

Michael Jung has been a member of the Management Board of ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 1999.

Within the ROI Group, he heads the Manufacturing Excellence unit and manages key accounts for the Automotive client group. He oversees the implementation of lean management principles in production, logistics, and administration in international projects for both prestigious conglomerates and mid-sized companies

After completing his studies in business administration at the University of Passau, Michael Jung spent over ten years gaining consulting and industry experience at such companies as BSH Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, where he worked in the international logistics division.

Hans-Georg Scheibe

Hans-Georg Scheibe has been a member of the Management Board of ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 1999.

Mr Scheibe heads the Cost Reduction and Restructuring, Operational Efficiency, and Supply Chain Management units.

Before joining ROI, Mr Scheibe worked for Rosenthal AG, in Selb, as director of Logistics and Purchasing, and for BSH Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH in the international logistics division.  

Mr Scheibe studied business administration at the University of Munich.

Chief Executive Officer:

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Bick

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Bick has served as the CEO of ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 1999.

Prof. Bick brings his expertise to bear on improving internal and cross-company logistics, optimizing production, and increasing efficiency and effectiveness in development and the product development process.

Prior to joining ROI, Prof. Bick worked for Knorr-Bremse AG as head of logistics and head of the production segment.

After completing his studies in mechanical engineering, Prof. Bick first worked for Milberg GmbH as a consultant for assembly and structure design. During this time, he completed his dissertation on the technical and economic optimization of assembly systems.

Partners:

Susanne Drexl-Wittbecker

Susanne Drexl-Wittbecker has worked for ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 2002, initially as a project head and, since 2009, as partner.

Her consulting work focuses on the effective and efficient alignment of R&D, including portfolio management, complexity reduction, optimization of product development processes, product structuring and design, and product cost optimization. In addition, she is responsible for the refinement of ROI consulting programs and methods in the area of R&D.

Following completion of her training in technical drafting, Ms Drexl-Wittbecker studied mechanical engineering at the University of Munich. She received an MBA from TWT Munich and the University of San Diego (CA). In addition, she has more than 13 years of industry experience in the area of development.

Oliver Kress

Oliver Kress has worked for ROI Management Consulting AG, Munich, since 2007.

His consulting work focuses on lean design and implementation in the areas of production, logistics, and administration. In addition to classic consulting, he creates client-specific qualification programs for training client employees to become lean multipliers.  

Following completion of his training as an automobile mechanic, Mr Kress studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and now has more than 12 years of industry and consulting experience. In addition to working for ROI, he is a lecturer at a number of universities.

Ulrich Krieg

Ulrich Krieg has been a partner at ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 2006.

His consulting work focuses on the reorganization and optimization of business processes, as well as on project and program management in international IT projects.
He is responsible for the consulting approach developed by ROI and Q2Factory in the area of benefits-oriented IT implementation.  

After completing his studies in aerospace technology and industrial engineering, Mr Krieg acquired more than 13 years of consulting and industry experience, including as a development engineer at BMW AG.

Dr. Thomas Troll

Dr Thomas Troll has worked at ROI Management Consulting AG in Munich since 1999, initially as a project head and, since 2006, as partner.

His consulting work focuses on projects related to lean thinking, from optimizing specific production and logistic processes to reorganizing entire facilities. In addition, he is responsible for the refinement of ROI consulting programs and methods in the areas of “lean production” and internal company knowledge management.

Dr Troll studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and worked as a research assistant developing various vehicle sensors and driverless transport systems.

Supervisory Board:

Werner Baier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Werner Baier has served as chairman of the Supervisory Board of ROI Management Consulting AG since 2006.

Mr Baier is the great-grandson of Wilhelm Baier, founder of the family-run company Webasto AG. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna and received an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He joined Webasto in 1970, becoming managing director in 1975 and then taking over as chairman of the Management Board in 1986. He retired from daily management of the company in 1995 to become chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Werner Baier was awarded the Order of Merit (Cross) of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2002 for his business and charitable work (establishing the Webasto Foundation, fostering school projects in Latin America and other places).

Walther von Wietzlow

Walther Karl J. von Wietzlow has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ROI Management Consulting AG since 2000.

Mr von Wietzlow began his career as a solicitor in the law offices of the former Hessian Minister of Justice Koch. In 1980 he moved on to Didier-Werke AG, where in 1992 he was appointed to the Management Board.

In 1999, Mr von Wietzlow began working at the US law firm Jones Day, before moving to the Rittershaus law firm in Frankfurt am Main in 2007. His practice specialties are the law of banking, stock exchanges, capital market, equities and companies. Mr von Wietzlow is also considered an expert in private equity and corporate governance issues.

Graf von Pückler

Carl-Heinrich Graf von Pückler has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ROI Management Consulting AG since 2003.

After completing his university studies in economics in 1970, he launched his career at Kali Chemie AG, where he had already worked as a trainee prior to his studies. Beginning in 1971, he held a number of different management positions, culminating in 1989 in his appointment to the Management Board of Kali-Chemie AG, part of the Solvay Group.

In 1992 Graf von Pückler moved on to become a member of the Management Board of Klöckner & Co. AG, and then again in 2000 to Aviga GmbH. Since 2002 he has been head of the Pückler Asset and Investment Management company.

AUSTRIA

Managing Directors of ROI Management Consulting GmbH in Vienna:

Dr. Elmar Hubner

Dr Elmar Hubner has been the managing director of ROI Management Consulting GmbH in Vienna since 2001.

His consulting work focuses on strategic and operational controlling, project management, administrative controlling, and programs for reducing G&A costs and increasing efficiency, particularly in the machinery and plant construction industry, the automotive supply industry, and the public sector.

After completing his studies in technical physics at the Technical University of Vienna and studies in business administration, Dr Hubner obtained a doctorate from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). Dr Hubner then took a position in project controlling for a customized machine manufacturer, followed by a job with VOEST-ALPINE as project manager, where he was responsible for strategic planning processes and numerous internal management board projects.

Tobias Német

Tobias Német is a managing director at ROI Management Consulting Ges.m.b.H. based in Vienna, Austria. He specializes in procurement and supply chain management.

Before joining ROI in January 2012, Tobias Német spent 15 years in various industrial positions and six years in consulting, with projects spanning 21 countries on four continents. His latest occupation was Partner at Kerkhoff Consulting. Earlier employments included Phillips Electronics and Semperit AG.

A plastics engineer by profession, Tobias Német also holds an MBA from Carlson Business School, University of Minnesota, USA.

Werner Schauperl

Werner Schauperl has been a partner at ROI Management Consulting AG in Zurich since 1988 and managing partner at ROI Management Consulting GmbH in Vienna since 2000.

In the ROI Group, Mr Schauperl is responsible for the design and implementation of best-practice production and assembly systems and is head of the Maintenance unit. His consulting work focuses on the areas of vehicle manufacturing, machinery and plant construction, automotive supply, and the process industry.

Before joining ROI, Mr Schauperl worked for a variety of machinery and equipment manufacturers as head of operations, member of management, head of production engineering, and head of tool and equipment design, as well as in plant design.

After completing his apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, Mr Schauperl went on to study mechanical engineering, earning a degree as an industrial engineer.

SWITZERLAND

Managing Director of ROI Management Consulting AG in Zurich:

Dr. Peter Acél

Dr. sc. techn. Peter P. Acél, is a CMC certified management consultant and the managing director of ROI Management Consulting AG in Zurich.

Dr Acél is responsible for logistics management and production/technology, as well as issues of company management. In addition, he teaches “Operational Simulation of Production Plants” at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

Prior to joining the ROI Group, he worked for ABB in internal company consulting. This was followed by a position at the BWI Foundation as head of the "Production and Logistics" consulting unit.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Robert Benacka

Robert Benacka has many decades of international experience with operational consulting in the areas of development, production, and organizational optimization.

Mr Benacka has worked in Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Korea, and Romania for such companies as Magna, KPMG, Baan, and amotIQ.

CHINA

Managing Director of China Management Network Ltd.:

Engelbert Boos

Engelbert Boos is the managing director of China Management Network Ltd. He has a degree in mechanical engineering, an MBA, and a language diploma in Chinese, and he has over 25 years of experience working for companies in China. Among other positions, Mr Boos was managing director for a joint venture in cooling compressors, and he was employed by Mannesmann and given overall responsibility for 18 local companies in China with more than 4,000 employees.
