DevOps" is a term made up of the words "development" and "operations". It is a culture or set of methods aimed at improving collaboration and communication between the areas of software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops).

The main goal of DevOps is to unify the development process and the operations process to enable faster and more efficient software delivery. In addition, a key objective of DevOps is to achieve continuous improvement and collaboration across traditional departmental boundaries. The introduction of appropriate practices helps organizations to build a more stable and efficient IT infrastructure and to be able to react more flexibly to changes.
