Explanation: Overall system efficiency

The term describes the efficiency of a system or plant in terms of its overall performance in relation to the resources used. If a system works effectively and with minimal waste products or (energy) losses, it has a high overall system efficiency. This in turn can lead to cost savings and more sustainable production.
