Explanation: Regenerative Factory

The regenerative factory goes beyond the concept of the green factory and pursues the goal of not only minimizing negative environmental impacts, but also actively generating positive effects on the environment and society. It is based on regenerative principles such as the restoration of natural resources, the circular economy and the promotion of biodiversity.

Core features include the full use of renewable energies, the return of all material flows into closed cycles, CO₂-negativity through reforestation or compensation measures and the integration of green infrastructure such as green roofs, rainwater harvesting and habitat promotion.
