Technology Training
Recognizing which technology is best suited for fulfilling the function
Goals & Benefits
In this training course, you will familiarise yourself with the structure of the DIN 8580 classification system for manufacturing processes and gain an overview of all technologies. You will learn which alternatives can be used for substitution and understand when this is necessary for cost reasons or to reduce CO₂. You will also learn which materials are suitable for which technology, why this is the case and how tools are designed. The training also covers the achievable manufacturing tolerances for the respective technologies.
Contents
Interactive, sustained learning through theory, practical examples and learning simulation:
- Organization and structure of DIN 8580 as the basis for classifying the technology covered
- Theoretical description of the manufacturing processes using display boards, sample parts and selected video sequences
- Description of degrees of freedom that can be utilized by development departments for the design of components
- Presentation of technology limits that cannot be exceeded in terms of
- geometry
- quality
- surface
- dimensionality and shape and position tolerances
