Solid and semi-solid dosage forms (solids) are among the established forms for medicinal products alongside liquid dosage forms (liquids). In pharmaceutical production, the term solid "formulation" refers to the process of combining and dosing active ingredients and excipients to obtain the desired dosage form such as tablets, capsules or powder.
