Explanation: Digital Shopfloor Board

A digital shopfloor board is a digital information system that is used in a production environment or on the shopfloor of a factory. It visualizes real-time information and data on various aspects of the production processes, e.g. on: production status, machine performance, order progress, quality data, maintenance schedules, staff availability.

This gives employees in the production environment quick access to crucial information in order to optimize production processes. Corresponding systems are often integrated into Industry 4.0 concepts, in which the networking of machines and the use of data analysis contribute to more effective and flexible production.
